Yegge is a legend/visionary, thanks for steering (with lots of great prep) his firehose of energy. Your previous February interview with Grady Booch is a really great/wise complement to this one.
Clearly there was a previous tectonic shift where high level languages revolutionized (assembly/machine code) "programming"; in that regard Yegge's giving good advice to learn the new toolchain (AI/LLMs).
Especially good for you call him on his bombastic "engineers are (no longer) special". Everyone having a nailgun does not make everyone a home builder. 😅
Thanks! Love Steve’s energy and he can feel a bit like a loose cannon sometimes. He’s thinking a few steps ahead, is inside “AI-pilled” dev circles and is a very good engineer at his core and just a great conversationalist.
I enjoy his bold predictions and reasoning - but we should acknowledge none of us can predict what will happen with a massive change like AI + agents.

lol level 7 .. multiplexing flow. yep, then you develop a framework to steer the chaos .. and the emergent system/arch is the outcome not just code.
