One thing I didn’t fully understand is the archetype thing. I understood the concept, but not how it played out, whether it’s the last step of the IC ladder, or a specialization that happens at a certain level. It’s the first time I’m reading about that concept, so maybe it’s obvious to other people more familiar with big tech.
